2023:

In 2023, The SHARE Institute funded Kimbo Amazing Women in Kenya to train and 12 teenage mothers to work with hair as a way to make a living. As part of the training, the girls were worked for four hours a day for three months in a salon, and were given a daily wage of $6. At the end of the training, the girls were hired permantly in the salon for $8 dollars a day.

In addition to the training, the girls were given the means to purchase their own hair tools and equipment. Finally, all beneficiaries recieved additional training in childcare and family planning.

 

2022:

In 2022, The SHARE Institute funded Kimbo Amazing Women in Kenya to train 8 teenage girls on hygiene and bodily changes during the teenage years.

These girls were then trained as Teen Ambassadors to educate other teenagers on bodily changes during the teenage years.

294 teenage girls had benefited from the project, some of the girls were inspired to resume their schooling. Outside supporters helped raise funds to provide sanitary pads to during the project period.

2021:

This year, The SHARE Institute funded Kimbo Amazing Women in Kenya to establish a bakery center to train 10 vulnerable single mothers, who have been victims of gender-based violence, in baking skills. The training lasted for five months, after which the women were either given support in securing employment, or they were hired in the bakery center.
