International Projects
Between its establishment in early 2000 and the end of 2012, The SHARE Institute has funded a total of 190 projects in 28 countries. Please see our News Feed for a Consolidated History of SHARE's projects. SHARE’s mini-grants are small in size, no more than $500 per project funded. The projects target the poorest of the poor all over the world.
Project funds are provided to non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) and not to individuals. See our Mini-Grant Application Information page for more information on the application process. NGO’s are urged to apply electronically. The applications are received year round, but funding occurs mostly between March and September. The number of projects funded each year varies depending on the amount of money available in the budget. Applications are reviewed by the staff and interns of SHARE. Organizations are notified if their application has been approved and funds are sent via Western Union wire transfer.
Funded organizations are expected to write a brief report highlighting the achievements, the number of beneficiaries, the challenges and the successes of the project. Pictures of the activities are also required. For more information, please contact our office at sstolba@theshareinstitute.org.
