SHARE funded Kole Women’s Association, a non-profit organization in Uganda, to train 560 school girls and women in menstruation hygiene and how to sew and make sanitary pads.
Many girls don’t go to school during their menstruation period because they are embarrassed about lacking sanitary pads that are expensive in the local market. Training these girls and mothers to make the sanitary pads will improve school attendance.
