2024:

The SHARE Institute funded The Good Shepherd in Thailand, a learning center for children of migrant workers from the Myanmar region. Currently, this organization provides education to 360 students ages 5 to 17, and vocational training in the areas of soap making, hairdressing, and baking.

This year, The Good Shepherd applied for SHARE funding to provide a scholarship to a high-achieving student. Due to the immediate financial need of the families, parents often choose to take their teenage children out of school to work illegally for very little wages. The organization hopes this project will provide inspiration and incentive to keep the children in school, in hopes that they may also recieve scholarships in return for positive academic performance.
