2021:

This year, The SHARE Institute donated to Saint John's Program for Real Change. The money will provide two comforter sets, a new nightstand or a new microwave to women in need.

2011:

In 2011, The SHARE Institute donated 12 care bags to St. John’s Shelter program for women escaping domestic violence.

2010:

In March 2010, interns of The SHARE Institute came together to assemble ‘Spring Baskets’ for students and children in the Sacramento Region, a continuing tradition of The SHARE Institute.  The interns searched stores for bargain deals and items that would appeal to children between the ages of 8 to 11 years old.  The items were carefully selected to make sure each basket would be unique and appealing it’s recipient.

In total, approximately 60 baskets were decorated and filled with books, crayons, activity books, socks, candies, stickers, school supplies, and other small toys.  The baskets were split evenly and hand-delivered to both St. John’s Shelter, and Mustard Seed in Sacramento.  The interns worked very hard to make this program a success and the children really enjoyed the baskets!

2006:

The SHARE Institute collected and donated several bags of clothing to men and women who are trying to work their way out of poverty and homelessness. These men and women earn minimum wage and are extremely grateful for the clothing and general assistance.

To bring aid this winter to the needy and homeless in the Sacramento area, the interns of the Share Institute organized a coat drive held at American River College. From October 16-31, professors and students were urged to take action and donate coats in all shapes and sizes. For the event posters, flyers and boxes were distributed campus-wide. In response, dozens of coats and jackets for men, women and children were donated. All coats that are collected will benefit working poor families via the Salvation Army and St. John’s Shelter.
