Woodland Star Charter

2019:

In 2019, The SHARE Institute funded Woodland Star Charter in Sonoma, California to purchase a Universal Literacy Benchmark screening program. The screening would be administered at least twice a year to all students to determine which students need additional or differentiated instruction, with the 1st graders serving as the test group for the program. At the end of the project, the school was able to evaluate a baseline for the students’ reading ability and teach a research-based learning curriculum based on the results of the screening.
